Efficient Pooling and Collaborative Cache Management for NDN/IoT Networks

Named Data Networking (NDN) has been recognized as a lever to the Internet of Things (IoT). One most founding features NDN is in-network caching improve data availability and reduce retrieval delays network load. Despite existence several decision algorithms, fetching distribution contents with minimum resource utilization remains great challenge. In this article, we propose an efficient technique named PoolCache that augments effective capacity some defined conglomerates nodes. This accomplished by pooling various caches manage them in way insure zero content redundancy within any node conglomerate. The resulting high diversity cached throughout tacitly amounts much better overall performances. We conducted extensive simulations using CCNsim simulator evaluate performance compare it well known strategies. Simulations large Transit Stub topology show clearly outperforms other strategies terms greater consequently limited number evictions, cache hit ratio, lower delay. also showed benefits from eventual popularity.
